No time to blog

15 January, 2008 (16:13) | Banter, News

January has been busy and full of happenings; relocating to a new country, attending the Sweeney Todd European première and after-show party, sorting some legal stuff out and finally looking after older members of the family.

I’ve had almost no time to myself, so from now on, I’m officially AFK (away from keyboard), but will be returning soon. Sorry for any inconvenience I may cause to anyone who has been inconvenienced….. n0 one basically!

Sweeney Todd by the way is a FANTASTIC film, OMG it’s great!
I have my favourite parts but the best of all is when Mr Todd (played by Mr Depp) goes all out and starts slashing many throats whilst singing his little heart out. Much blood, much feeling!
Due to the ‘gut stirring’ bass in the musical score seeing it in any other way than in a cinema would be raping you of the full abundance of goodness the production has to offer.

GO TIM B!

And finally to anyone who downloads it illegally… I wish a thousand curses on you and all that come in contact with you! *evil glance in general direction of naughty leechers*.

Footnote: After-show party was also good, but not as good as the film itself. Lots of people, lots of pies, lots of mechanical displays activated by Old English Pennies. One thing that did stand out, however, had nothing to do with Sweeney Todd at all - which was a spectacular sculpture made out of coat hangers by an artists I didn’t quite get and was of a judge who’s name I also can’t remember. If you get a chance to go the Royal Courts of Justice I strongly recommend you ask where the Bust made out of coat hangers resides and take a look. If the camera on my phone had been better equipped for extreme low lighting I would have taken a few shots.

I reserve the right to keep the pics and vids I took that night to myself. :P
