Me and Guild Wars

1 August, 2007 (15:24) | My Guild Wars

Ahhh it’s been a lovely bout of gameplay for me this week.
My husband lovingly bought me the 3rd part of the Guild Wars series (or rather the 2nd expansion pack) Nightfall and I’ve been playing it like a good’en.

My main character Esme(e) Weatherwax has almost completed all easy tasks in the trilogy and I’m very proud of her.
However, I must admit something right here and now… I have almost NO IDEA what any of the Guild Wars plot lines are, I’ve never read a word of the game. Because of the quest marking facility, or whatever it’s called there is no longer a need to read. You simply click on a character, click ‘yes I accept’, follow the green star on the map and repeat. No, to tell a lie I did read a few dialogs on the Prophecies campaign but that was, according to /age, 16 months ago.

Am I lazy? Well no, I’m not lazy, hand me a chainsaw and I will cut a tree up, give me a sponge and I will clean/wax your car. Give me a baby and I will.. give it back. But give me text which offers no real meaning to me and I will skip it. No I’ve not read Harry Potter but I have read almost all of Terry Pratchett’s books, simply because It’s humour which both adults and children can get a kick out of.
Guild Wars I fear however is possibly a load of shite with regards to storyline, though I wouldn’t know would I.
To tell you the truth having mass amounts of little black panels featuring tiny text absent of paragraphing just pees me off no end.
When did people forget to used the enter key? (Carriage Return in my days) *shakes walking stick*

So, in short, I know nothing about the Guild Wars story line and unless someone types a funnier and or shorter version of it for me, I ain’t never gonna know it eivah (either in West Londinium).
So Blah.
